Also the quick look up for the contacts when you start to dial doesn't work also. You know, how it starts to sort or guess who you're trying to call as you press on the dial pad keys....

Your steps in order are as follow:

1. Unlock your device using the CokeMan's "Unlocker for Custom Roms on Vogue (sprint touch)"
2. Once completed, you can now flash your device using JD's ROM (Double- click the ROMUpdateUtility.exe inside the file if it doesn't launch automatically and follow the on-screen menu to flash it)
3. If you want go back to your ROM(), just flash bask the official ROM. (Bell's got one avail.) and you can easily find a Sprint one out there if you search.

Details on "Unlocker for Custom Roms on Vogue (sprint touch)" can be found here:

WORD OF CAUTION:
Everyone here probably knows that already but I thought it's worth mentionning. Although the instructions are pretty straight forward, it's important to note that you don't need these flash (specially JD has mentionned this BETA) as you may "brick" your phone....

Nevermind, you just have to select it in the option menu from the dial pad. In regards to what someone already mentioned before, when selecting sms from the home screen, it does open up the regular messaging app first, then the threaded. Having to close both of them upon exiting...great work and thanks...

I also have a question. If i were to try someone elses ROM do i need to uninstall this one or does the new one just install right over it

Since the threaded sms program and all other programs reside in ROM, there's nothing in "uninstall" since it was never "installed" in the first place. If you want to use pocket cm as your default sms program, you'll have to change the shortcut locations of those files.

There's no way to "uninstall" a ROM once it's been flashed. If you see someone else has a ROM you like, simply flash it over the existing one. It is akin to reformatting your hard drive and installing a new OS + apps.

JD,
Thank you for your hard work!

-Could you direct me to a thread that would help me build my own ROM? (Vogue)

-Where did you find the "latest phone audio drivers"?
-My original internet sharing was tricky, but worked. What did you add to make it "working"?
-I, too, prefer the stock contact link
-S2U2 latest version is .95
-Have you seen the "Grumps iPhone Wow edition hack"? It's a nice option.

I have been testing apps non stop for two weeks and I'd like to put together a lean ROM with the best basic apps.

Thanks,
DJ
