It's like the iphone messaging. I can cook it in another rom. I have the oem for it, not sure where the cab files are. I'll see if I can find the cab files. Thanks for trying out the rom. I like phoneEx, if you have another phone skin suggestion let me know, if u have a cab for it I'll cook it in. I like phoneex because it has vibrate on call connect.

So does 28pp make it faster. I personally use 0 pp in my rom. Do you have a pp changer also. I change when I cook, but not sure if it actually work or not.

i havent tried phone ex, more of a traditionalist i guess. as i bounce from chef to chef i like to use the standards. lol.
yes i have a pp editor. as i run an excess of 4-6 apps at any given time, zero pp is a little unpractical for me. every rom i have used has what i refer to as 'optimum pp setting' and i just flash, play, flash, play, and flash again til i find the one that works best for me and pass the info back to the chef as general information. with what i do, i feel my information may be useful. most folks use between 1 and 3 apps at any time, i use on average i have 4 running at any given time. the task for me is finding a ROM stable enough to run my apps, and keep up with me. so to answer your question, 'does 28pp make it faster' not always,
more stable and more usable to fit my needs, less lag, YES.
object for me is to have a rom that i dont have to reset every day or so.

Just downloaded and flashed 23569 Manila Lite and am tweaking it now.

I noticed one thing - if I try to install Office 2010 CAB that was posted few messages back - it fails? Anyone had this happen?

I was thinking of adding the swype keyboard into the roms. What do u all think of the swype keyboard?

I really love your base Rom with nothing but the essentials. I always load Finger Keyboard after flash. I have a swype cab, but really dont like it. Please keep atleast one Rom clean!! Thanks for the great work.

read about it, watched stuff on it, never used it, could be interesting. i would be willing to give it a go. if you do, pelase make sure you cook in a standard keyboard as well in the event it doesnt pan out

Yeah, Swype does not float my boat either... I liked SlideIt better actually but even that I did not like enough to run it longer than the trial period.

I love having a "light" ROM. I understand that a chef tweaks the ROM for him/herself but literally every other ROM I tried had a bunch of stuff I did not care for. Not so with yours.

BTW, is there a way to make Manila go to Home tab after the phone goes to sleep? So let's say I leave it on Apps tab, when I unlock it next time, I want to go to Home?

brack have you figured out why office cant be installed after wards yet on your roms?? just curious

what do i need to add in to get sprint tethering to work to your base rom. i hate to keep asking you to make a new rom but i see you updated the build already and id like to keep updating. lmk thanks

As for the office, i have not figured out why it can't be added. I'll just cook in a base rom with office 2010 in it for now on. I've decided to just make a base rom with nothing extra in it, base with manilla, and a base with manilla and office in it. I'll also make a base with manilla, office, sprint rom, since I use sprint. It will be good to go with the tethering zfactor, then u can add whatever cabs u want to it. So when a new sys build comes out, those will be the roms that I'll update the first post with.
