Touch Pro + Voice Command + Bluetooth + Car's stereo deck question

Anyone using voice command on their tp to connect to their car via bluetooth? If so, i have a question about the messaging option.

I can't seem to get voice command messsage notifications working through my car. By messaging, i mean getting it to read my texts aloud. I can get it working just fine if i switch it to over device speakers in the voice command options, but when i try bluetooth it doesn't work. I've triple checked all the settings too.

Any ideas or similar experiences?
