Advanced Phone Settings (Roaming Help)

"Standard" is the normal mode of operation where the phone will jump back and forth between your home network and roaming as necessary, based on signal strength. The "Automatic-A" and "Automatic-B" options apparently limit which networks the phone will roam on. I think this is carrier specific and depends on the roaming agreements that the carrier has with other carriers. I'm not sure the Automatic-A and -B options apply to all carriers.
