Great points - thanks a lot, you've convinced me more. Here is what I am looking for, it might not be available until Christmas 2010 or 2011, but let me know if anything in the World (well, USA) exists like this already, OR, is in the works!

-3.5-4'' + screen
-OLED
-Capacitive
-1ghz or Faster processor
-3.5mm headphone jack
-GPS
-FM Tuner
-Native Internal 5gb+ storage
-Windows-based
-5mp+ camera w/ auto-focus

Re: Hi, my wife could get me a new Touch-P 2 from Verizon for Xmas - worth it though?

I really dont now to much at this point. I have Verizon and it looks as if Windows Mobile might drop dead this Christmas. Android is really getting to me and I might make the switch for one of the new "Droids". Its funny from the specs you just gave me... I think you might want to give the HTC Dragon a look at. Sure its no Windows Phone but Windows 6.5 is disappointing and I dont expect 7 anytime soon...

Sure it isnt as sleek as an iPhone or Touch Pro 2 but the Dragons processsor is mighty fast. If the price isnt over my sixteen year old head then I will definately be getting my hands on one.

Wait for the potential HD2. If it's coming to T-Mo then Sprint and Verizon will surely get it.

Heck if you are verizon, hold out for the Omnia slider, it will more than likely hit Verizon first.

Although "is nice" waiting for this phone cold be very tedious. Tmobile wont be getting it untill Q1 or Q2. Although I have heard the rumors of November I must say those are 99% false. There is just no way the HD2 is coming to the US in at least 4-5 months...

Europe gets HD2 then we sit and wait for a few long months...

Touch HD2 or the Dragon considering which OS is your flavor. HD2 ofcourse is win mo with 2.5 manila and the Dragon is the same phone except running Android. I'm probably gunna go win mo and hope that i'll eventually be able to dual boot win mo and android on it considering the hd2 and dragon are the same phone just with two different OS's

Coming from any other phone, or a smartphone from 2-3 years ago... yeah go for it. If you have a TP.... no way.

I must say though, the bigger screen is muy awesome.

Save your upgrade for something with newer guts; you shouldnt have to wait more than a quarter.
Thanks for the help SL, I appreciate it

Sounds like you know something I don't, bwa-ha-ha... do you know of anything, or seen any leaks of a phone from HTC coming out (carried on Verizon) that is going to blow the current crop of WinMo away by February 2010??

I have heard a lot about that, and just read a couple reports over on Giz and Eng blogs - looks fast and updated for sure. I don't care about sleek, I mean I don't wanna carry about a WinMo branded brick in my pocket, but the whole "shiny and slim" thing isn't my cup of tea. I would rather have raw power, 5mp+ camera, GPS, and FM Tuner anyday if it means an extra millimeter

I saw some leaked classic blurry shots of this a while ago, the screen looks AMAZING - like a mini movie theater, lol (okay, that's an exaggeration, but wow!).

Anyone know of an HD release date... even rumored? I am VERY interested in this.

Oh......... and I am not ruling out Android BY ANY MEANS! Android 2.0 looks "ridonkulously" awesome!
