soooooooooooo...... I am ready to whoop the F**K out of Assurion. I received a brand new kitted TP2 the whole nine yards brand new retail version and when i go to activate guess what the phone is listed as LOST/STOLEN. How is a brand new phone listed stolen lol. After spending 6 hours trying to release it i have a new touch pro II being delivered instead.

got a second new kit from asurion and it is brand new and all is good got it activated and already put energy latest rom on it and plenty of other goodies. I ended up getting a free home travel charger out of the issue of having a bad esn the first time and i get to keep the other accessories from the original tp2 like battery, charger, cable, 2 stylus and a back so not bad and everything was overnight. Any one know if asurion is still replacing tp with tp2 i have a friend who is having issues with his and is now jealous of mine lol. I told him to wait but he is getting impatient so anyone done a claim recently online.

anyone have any recent luck getting a TP2 from Asurion that is on VZW? I cracked my screen and they want to send me another tp. I am about 3 months away from upgrade and don't want to spend the $50 for the same device when I can wait 6 months and get a WM7 phone and just deal with a cracked screen

not 100% sure but when I asked what phone they would be sending me the guy said another TP. I asked if it was a refrub or not and he did not know. I might go ahead and do it and then if it is a refurb I will just call and complain an get another and then another and eventually I am sure I could get an upgrade to a TP2 as of now they say I would be getting an orginal tp :(

Well I stoped in a Verizon store today in seattle and they still had the touch pro on the shelf which makes me think if they have them asurion will have them too angry9: oh well I will let you know if I end up the a tp2 or not. I knew I should gone to sprint when I had the change :o

called today to try and make a claim of water damage..and unfortuantely was not offered a touch pro 2. i have sprint as a courier. told them that my friend with the same phone had recieved the touch pro 2, and she said yeah probably but now they have the touch pro in stock. so fail x3 on getting a tp2

No luck for me. Just a made a claim 4/30 and was told I would receive a TP only. I'll post back to confirm ultimately what was sent. Maybe theres a 1% chance they end up sending TP2 if they run out of TPs.

Why are you people calling Asurion? File a clam via the website. It's a lot faster and you'll know before you pull the trigger on the claim as to what device you'll be getting as a replacement.

I've done this twice so far. My concern is that you have to submit the info. and the problem first, then they'll tell you what they're replacing it with.

Do you think they keep track of the claims that are started, but not actually submitted? If so, I'd imagine they'd get suspicious if I keep starting claims and then not ever actually filing any of them.

What do you think?

Edit: So I came to this site yesterday because I managed to royally screw my phone up. Took it to the Sprint service repair center this morning and will be getting a TP2 tomorrow! It must be going to the warranty or something instead of Assurion though. I don't have to pay any sort of deductable.

Well my wife dropped her Pro in her cup of coffee today. I went to asurion's web site and filed a claim and seen that I was going to get a Pro as a replacement so I decided to stop my order and retry over the phone. After the claim the lady told me I should be receiving a Replacement Pro in a day or two. I received the confirmation email and it says I will be receiving a New Touch Pro II fully kitted. So its hard to tell what your really going to get until you get your confirmation email.:headbang::headbang::headbang:

I tried to make a claim online and over the phone, and was required to fill out affidavit. Anyone had this happen? What's the deal?
I've had many phones fixed or replaced throughout the years and never had to mial in or fax anything?? Guess the 7 bucks a month just doesn't cut it like it used to.

I filed a claim on my diamond last year when my wife dropped it in coffee. It was my first claim through them, and they made me do the affidavit. Soon as I filled out the paperwork and faxed it in, i got confirmation later that evening my order was shipped next day.

I received my TP2 yesterday. I was originally told that it would be a TP but the email confirmed TP2 and everything is working smoothly.

I took mine into the store to get it replaced said I could get the Touch Pro 2. I picked it up today. The phone is so much better.

No, it's the same claim. You just continue where you left off if the system shows you a TP. If it's only a TP, close the tab and try again later.

Hope you don't miss having the LED flash. I know I love mine lol.

It seems like with every new phone, it's 2 steps forward and one step back. I can never seem to get all the features I want all in one unit.

I left my Vouge for the Diamond, I lost my microSD slot. I leave my Diamond for TP, I lose my FM radio. If I goto TP2 I lose LED flash. I just want it all in one!! Agrhh


Give me a phone with a vertical sliding keyboard, 1gig processor, digital compass, LED flash, FM tuner, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, g-sensor, GPS, dual microphones, and a bunch of hardware buttons. Oh and soft-reset hole on the outside!

Common HTC, let's see it all in the TP3.

My TP1 keyboard keeps crapping out. I have to bang on the spacebar in order to get it going again.

Will they fix the keyboard or replace? Did you flash back to the stock ROM before taking it to the store?

I have received my phone yesterday 5/10 and yes, it was a TP2. But now I will divulge the whole story. It was not easy.:disgust:

My first step was to take it to a local repair, where they confirmed that there was an issue with the camera and the flash that would not shot off. HOWEVER the big stink was when they gave me my options.:evil3: They offered me a replacement TP or for $150 more they would replace my phone with a TP2. What angry9: I was quite surprised. So I told them I would take a regular TP at no cost, and secretly hoped a TP2 would arrive. However no luck :angry7: They called around May 4 and informed me my regular TP replacement was in.
[-X Well I just never showed up to pick it up, and instead called Sprint Tech support and told them about the faulty phone. They went ahead and insisted I take it to the repair center I had already dealt with. - I informed them that they had already diagnosed the phone and that they had approved a replacement, but I also added that they were charging me for a replacement, period. Didn't say anything about the option, I just said they were trying to scam me for $150 for a claim that should be covered with no deductible. The rep immediately became apologetic and promised a replacement phone free of charge. The catch - it would be a TP :banghead:

Damn - Oh well. So I waited till the end of the week and nothing.:confused:
Finally on May 7, I called again tech support. The rep was helpful and apologetic. She found the notes that I had been trying to replace a phone and acknowledged that they were screwing up. She gave an option to choose from, which I can t remember, but it was about 5 different models to replace my phone with. Among them was the TP2 :headbang: and choose it.

:cheers: May 11, I finally received my TP2. However it is not fully kitted and I cant tell if it is a refurb. Nevertheless it looks good, feels good and am currently flashing Timberwolf ROM for TP2 :occasion5::toothy7: Looks great and the bigger is awesome. Especially because I read allot on my phone. The e-reader will come in handy which is already in the Timberwolf ROM. :wav:

Bottom line, watch those pricks that are trying to scam you out of money :cussing: That was an issue I did complain to Sprint about, telling them that they have no right (repair center) to charge people on an authorized upgrade replacement. GOOD LUCK to all still trying to get your TP2 :wave:

bah, screen just went out on my TP. Took it in to two different repair centers and nothing. One wanted to order a TP to replace, and the other had a refurb TP in stock. I took the refurb because my current TP is unusable. I asked about a TP2 replacement but was told that I've only exchanged it 3x now in the last 6 months and that that wasnt enough to warrant a free upgrade. #*)(@&$)

Rep said that she just took a training on the evo and that it was supposed to be released in June... might just skip the TP2 upgrade for the Evo.

Hey i made a claim last week and they offered me a touch pro so i just told them file the claim and i will pay for it later and call in. I have been checking all weekend long and monday and the online website was offering touch pro not the touch pro 2. I just finalized my claim online and it offered the HTC 7380 Touch Pro 2 and i paid the deductible and i will update if it is fully kitted or not.

i received tracking info and should get it by tomorrow since i ordered late late at night on tuesday. The info shows up at 2 lbs in the fedex tracking so i am guessing it is fully kitted brand new and will confirm tomorrow. If anyone is needing to make a swap now would be the right time before the warehouse get replenished and it takes 3-4 days for them to run out again.

my TP just took a dump on me yesterday, front buttons dont work, touch flo doesnt respond, 5-10 second delay, keyboard not working. it's really irritating!

okay, so asurion did NOT send me a TP2, i had the worse customer service in my life today and spent almost an hour on the phone "trouble shooting" AKA i hard reset and tell him if that made anything better.

NOPE, my phone's a bad refurb from asurion, and im getting another refurb in the mail soon, but im trying to catch them early in the morning and hopefully my phone wont be in the shipping stages. i dont want to deal with TP1 problems, TP2 problems are something i'd like to deal with now :D

When you get your confirmation email double check what they sent you because they told me I was getting a TP over the phone but the email said TP2 fully kitted. you never really now what your going to get.

never call unless you have already checked what is offered online. I called in first to initiate a claim and then checked online everyday till they ran out of touch pro and then finalized my claim online when it showed Touch pro out of stock and instead sub the 7380 AKA TP2. So check online first or just initiate the claim and tell them you will complete it online once you have the funds ready

I just placed a replacement order and it said I would get the: Phone 7380. I hope I get it since it would suck to get the same TP1 for $100!!! thanks for the info BTW

Fully kitted means new in box. If you get a replacement only you just get the phone.
