random gray circle icon showing up in 6.5.1, anyone else have this problem?

this icon keeps popping up no matter what i do.. it only happens when on the homescreen, and it disappears when i open any program, but reappears right as i close it. in the dropdown notification thing, it shows up as a green triangle, but when i click it, it doesn't do anything. anyone know how to get rid of this?
