not knocking the TP2, but I will wait until they add a physical keyboard to the HD2 and name it the TP3 to upgrade

How Two mics helping the MultiTouch. Windows 6.5 WOW when SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 is what Windows should adopt. It has the same Camera as the Touch Pro 3.2 Dude it took Us (the People to hack the touch flo and Reg hacks to make the Touch Pro better they just took our hacks accross the Forums and put them into the Touch Pro 2. Also speaker is alot louder.

Although there are a few things I miss from my original Touch Pro: They are below.

LED Light on the back
Control and tab button on keyboard

All I'm trying to say is that Both Phones has the same Hardware meaning the Same CPU/RAM/ROM/Camera
The Touch Pro Multi tasking is better because it show more ROM than the TOuch pro 2 50MB is not there on the Touch Pro 2 unless they had a fix for that.
So by being the same phone how can it runs better.can't the changes be done on the HTC Touch Pro if the CPU/RAM/ROM/Cam. When Apples releases there OS up grade they up grade all there lines meaning all the fixes and changes on the software will be for all meaning your old phone will somewhat run alittle better not everything because the new one has a little bit higher CPU chip. SO by saying that to the HTC TP/2 TP can do the same as TP2 because they both have the same Hardware.

Thats just like Two Ford 150 2008 model and 2009 model both have the same motor same tires same inside just little change in the 2009 150 but both are the same truck now if you take the 2003 F150 vs the 2009 everything changes. like The Mogul to the HTC touch Pro or Even to the PRO 2 thats an upgrade that would be called better.

Your reply might have been made for the opposite reason. To help you justify your upgrade to the Touch Pro 2. After all, there isn't nothing worse than feeling like you've been had for a few hundred dollars.

The benefits that the Touch Pro 2 bring to the table are really targeted at a limited number of users, imho. Its biggest feature over the Touch Pro is its sim card slot. Since I don't travel outside of North America currently (and if I did a cheap sim taking phone isn't that hard to find on eBay) I don't have a need for that slot. Some users do and it offers them that feature. The larger screen, better speakerphone, and proximity sensor are the other "major features" and they are cool. To me though, those features aren't worth $350 + The cost of a two year contract. I'd rather spend that same cash on the HD2 (w/ a KB) or the WinMo 7 stuff in 2010.

But I think it is foolish for us to argue either side of the fence. Some users will upgrade simply becase they want to have the latest device and there is nothing wrong with that. There are some of us who prefer to pick our devices based on our actual needs and there is nothing wrong with that either.

The best that can be done is a listing of the pros and cons of both devices and we can all make up our own minds

But to say the TP2 is "better in every way" and a "major upgrade for TP owners" is foolish. It is an evolutionary upgrade that benefits a small subset of users.

I think you pretty much nailed it on the head about that guy. Or maybe he secretly wishes he still had the TP i do feel bad for him though. He only has a $2 flashlight.

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 could be Better

Sorry guys for stealing your thread!!! I don't like when people give false info about the TP2 like how the ram or rom is less or multitasking is better on the TP or the cpu on the TP is better because its a newer chip. Just because the chip is newer doesn't mean its better they are the same, The only difference is the TP has the MSM7200 which is CDMA, The TP2 is a MSM7600 which is GSM/CDMA.

This thread got out of hand sorry again!!! Didn't mean to start bashing

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 could be Better

LOL, this thread cracks me up!!

Personally, I could care less what phone somebody else uses but there is so much misinformation in this thread it is ridiculous (mainly from users trying to talk themselves out of an upgrade).

I have 3 Sprint TP's & a VZ TP2. The TP's will be going on ebay soon.

The TP2 is so much better than the TP there is absolutely no comparison whatever (& the TP2 actually feels smaller to carry)
