i took my in to 3 stores each offered different models.... none offered TP2? WTF if they changed the well list how is everyone else getting it

I just went to my local repair center, the rep offered me the Pre or the Snap and then went on and on about how much he hated WinMo. I called another service center shortly after, the service rep/manager told me the Pre was NOT on the list (as I already knew), but read off the devices that she could replace it with including the TP2. She ordered it and I will be picking it up monday, I didnt even have to go in.

Hey guys i have an issue, i have a Sprint Touch Pro but its on metropcs. Is there anyway for me to take advantage of this deal? I have sent mine for repairs through HTC, do you think they would honor this or it will only work for existing sprint customers with insurance? Any help would be great i love the phone but the hardware issues are killing me.

My guess is it is Sprint only, but it wouldn't hurt to try and do it though your carrier using the same method.

BTW, I tried as well and they are on back order so I have to wait until they can order some more then I will be getting my replaced with a TP2!!!

went into a store today and had mine replaced/ordered too. they said 3-5 wk days, but got a voicemail shortly after saying that the warehouse is out of stock. looks like I'll be waiting.

Went into a store last weekend because of the screen. They ordered me a phone, I was hoping it would be a TP2 but today I went to pick it up and it's a refurb TP.... Guess I'm out of luck for now... Congrats to every1 who got theirs.

i tried calling no luck i will be trying going in to the repair store this week wish me luck..i know the store nearby will barely check once i say its the keyboard just hopefully they will give me a tp2

hmm I did a asurion claim 7 months ago on my ppc6700 without insurance and had to pay $120 for a refurb TP. The warranty should be from the date I received the TP right?
I'm having keyboard problems and have an oil smear on the screen so I'm gonna see what happens at a sprint store.

refurbs have 30 day warranty unless they are replacing a new device. If thats the case, then the warranty expires when the original devices warranty would have expired.

at least in orange county all (yes all) the repair centers told me that it was just a rumor going around on line :(
the only phone they all said they could replace the tp with was the treo pro...laaaaaaame

Just got back for my Sprint service center where I complained of keyboard problems. They took my phone and told me to come back in an hour. When I returned they had replaced my keyboard and sent me on my way.

What is my next step to get a TP2?

like i have said in all my post on this subject.
cal them. induce a problem. when you go to the store you are face to face and they pretty much own you.
when you call. your not infront of anyone. so you feel like they work for you.
which they do. you and millions other pay them to make you happy.
so. make them make you happy. if your not ballsy enough. then dont complain.
i called and ripped them a new one. my tp2 will be here monday.

I have a long story about mine, but you never know who is lurking, so I will tell it on Monday... but to make the long story short, if you have problems with your TP, you can get it exchanged for a TP2. I will be getting mine next Tuesday. Order has been placed...

not true my service tech said it depends on the problem you have use the old beam file fail thats what I did took persian blue off my phone walked in and told him to beam a pic to his phone of course it failed lol told him to bring out a referb tried with that one it failed saw another costumer that had a touch pro told him to beam me a pic his failed you know touch pros bluetooth explorer wont work then I said I dont want the same phone its not gonna work with all the costumers looking on he said your tp2 will be here in 2 to 3 days !!!!! score one for the good guys !!!!!!!!!!!! everyone try this Please !!!! of course call retentions and tell them to make a conference call to your nearest store first !!!!! so you can hear them say we have a new policy on tp they just wont offer u any phones over the phone and offer you other devices be4 the tp2 hold out and demand a tp2 yull get it call as many times as you need to took me 4 times be4 I got somebody at retentions that would work with me :mrgreen:

I got mines ordered too, should be here Tuesday. I went there after work and I just told them my phone overheats and my camera is slow to take pictures. No problem, no hassle after an hour of waiting they said they'll replace it for the tp2. Can't wait!! I am glad I waited and not put down big money for this phone, that would've really sucked.

Calling in is a waste of time IMO...got me NOWHERE. I even talked to someone in executive services and they did nothing for me. Went into the store (which also was a service center) and needless to say, I'll have my TP2 on Monday. Again, moral of the story, go into the store, don't waste your time calling *2 or whatever other number you might have!!

good one I also said it heated up and would stop charging when it got hot oh I called *2 then hit 4 then 0 for a rep it will ask for your pin when they answer don't even talk to them just say I want to talk to retentions I am considering canceling my contract they will transfer you asap !!!!

i'm really glad that sprint is finally doing the right thing and hooking you guys up with TP2 replacements. It's well deserved, after all the problems a lot of you have that i read about on here everyday. I don't see the touch pro forum being the most popular for much longer. The TP2 forum is gonna blow up. haha

Getting my TP replaced. My TP was out of memory. They immediately said replace my phone. They will not offer the TP2 for a replacent. Tried to give me a Treo Pro, of course I was not having that. I stated isn't there a upgrade to this phone he goes yes so like well that's the one I want. He goes well we don't have those in the store well okay can you order me one? He goes and speak with someone and voilÃ* they are ordering me one. They are our of stock so he goes give him about a week to order in meantime he ordered me a refurb TP until my other phone is in stock. He states they are giving me a TP 2 for my inconvenience. Thanks because I was.

I am just still surprised at the problems everyone is having with their phones, I have had my phone for close to a year without a single problem. Plus I am a contractor, so mine gets beat up, dirt, dust, occasional rain, etc. and works great still??

I'm on my 3rd one since the initial release. Overall I think it's a good phone. One time the ear piece started to rattle and the other time my keyboard went out. Ill wait until my phone breaks again and bring it in and try and get a tp2.
