@Dr.8820

tc3jg said otherwise. It sounds like since the phone Asurion sent out had problems, he worked with Asurion to get it replaced, until the replacements didn't work out, and they gave him a new TP2.

i thought someone said sprint handles the phones and if they were sent to asurion, it was insurance fraud. i might need glasses lol, but i'm glad it worked out for them.

Nah, no glasses needed, that was me! The Asurion rep didn't come out and flat out say fraud, but she was definitely hinting at it. To the point where she told me if Sprint told me to call Asurion and have them handle my non broken, non stolen, non dropped, non water damaged phone again, to have Sprint call them directly and have a 3 way call with me. She would gladly explain how it is not THEIR policy to handle mechanical or electrical of software malfunction.

The Asurion rep said she has done this 3 way call many times with *2 reps and with Reps at repair centers.

Ok, so i was doing my normal texting madness last night until about 12am. I began to notice what looked like black liquid forming on my phone around where the "w" is on the soft keyboard. I also noticed that when i needed to type w, the screen would intermittently not respond.

Thought nothing of it and went to bed.

Woke up this morning and my screen was TOTALLY dead, phone was working fine, screen just didn't react.

Wanted to rule out some weird custom ROM side effect, so i flashed back to the stock ROM. No change, now i couldn't even get past the calibration screen (ROFL)

Soooo, I went to Sprint on my lunch break, the lady took one look at the phone and ran into the back to see the tech on duty.

About five minutes go by (i was playing with the Hero, nice piece of equipment!).

She comes out with a new box in one hand, and my phone in the other. Just like that, she hands me a Touch Pro 2. LOL, i didn't even want to upgrade, I was happy with my Touch Pro...apparently Sprint is tired of working with them and will swap them out immediately if you take one in.

So, now I am heading over to the TP2 section so that I can get into a nice custom ROM ASAP!

that's what happened to me! the 1st rep said 20-30 mins while the tech looked it over. 5 mins later, she told me she ordered a tp2!

Whats the best support number to call? The people at *2 kinda suck. The nearest store (repair center) is about an hour and a half, and then its usually a 45 minute to 1.5 hour ordeal once I get there, its always busy. Im on a second refurb, and still having keyboard issues.

some folks do, but most don't and actually know thier business. keep calling *2, if you don't hear what you like, be polite and say thanks for your help and hang up. then call again and you'll get someone else. it might be wise to swing by that store also.

i thought that's what i saw before! but that's the main problem with sprint, no one is on the same page. if you ask 10 sprint reps the same question, you get 12 different answers!

Well, I just called back and ASC had no clue who to transfer me to - said there was no such department, even after he looked at the notes. He said that the TP2 was no longer on the WEL list (not just OOS) and offered me the usual list of replacements, or a Palm Pre. I refused all replacements and said I'd call back. It's really strange how you can get different stories depending on who you speak with.

so the tp is not on the list anymore is the dream?
