PPCGeeks - Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

yeah i remember, it was the same rep and same tech that did mine. we went in together, they did them at the same time.

i think the difference was that they could claim they couldnt duplicate the overheating issues for my phone, but they couldnt claim that for her kb that was obviously not working (no letters appear when you try to type on it). not sure whether her two previous exchanges mattered or not, this was my third trip to a repair store but with the same phone.

i contemplated taking mine in for a broken kb, but my sister said they'd get suspicious when they saw the circle of broken keys left by the hammer =P

If you are in the Baltimore County area I got my TP replaced with what I believe is a refurb TP2 no questions asked at the Townson Sprint store. I went in because my screen was going bad and I also mentioned some keyboard faultiness. That was on Tuseday. 30 mins later they said it can't be fixed and they will replace with a TP2 which i picked up 30mins ago. It was not NIB, I glanced at the ppwrk and I believe it said REC which usually means reconditioned.

Also, can't you do a ##786# and check the refurb, born date, etc on your TP2? that is how I confirmed my last TP1 was refurb'd this past October.

picked up my 5th refurb Touch Pro today and guess what? BAD!
the other touch pro would give me about 3-4 bars of signal in my apartment, this one doesnt give me ANY!

i think im gona have to call up customer service and have a nice chat with them :)

talked to the guy today who told me that palm pre is now on the list,but tp2 still isnt..

+1..I was offered Snap, Pre, Palm Pro, BB Curve, and Touch Pro 1. Second TP1 of the week is on the way. They said if this one doesn't work out then they will talk to me about the TP2..To be honest, I'd just like a TP1 that works..Not so sure about the size of a TP2.
