and i honestly don't think this has anything to do with a hardware windows button lmao
Thats kinda interesting

The home button can be used as a windows button.

It can but it has to be a windows icon branding hardware button, I think Microsoft wants to establish themselves in the mobile device market again...This is not the way MICROSOFT!!! Best thing to do is get a custom rom of 6.5

Re: Official 6.5 Sprint rom offical yet?

Microsoft dropped the Windows button requirement a while back. The Touch Pro fits all of the requirements for 6.5 licensing now. The catch is the carrier and manufacturer have to make the effort to make a new ROM for the phone. Microsoft has nothing to do with it. So Sprint and HTC have to see a financial benefit to releasing an update for an EOL phone whose replacement is already on the market. Releasing updates for a phone that's still available makes sense because it helps extend its longevity, and gain additional sales. Releasing it for a product that's no longer available when they'd rather you just buy the newer one makes less business sense for them. Unless there's a serious security or stability issue with the current software that they need to resolve, I wouldn't expect to see ANY updates for the current TP, 6.5 or otherwise. I think we're stuck with unofficial ROMs for the TP.

Re: Official 6.5 Sprint rom offical yet?

I would not be too keen on someone deleting anything on my phone remotely. If I wanted someone to control my phone for me I would get an I-phone.

Um...last I heard was late in '10. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that there's not a chance it'll be out in 2 1/2 months when it hasn't even hit beta testing yet.

This is where microsoft screwed up. Windows 7 comes out in December. Windows Mobile 7 doesn't have a release date.

Terrible idea naming to operating systems 7. It confuses people.

Note not positive that Winmo7 doesn't have a release date. I'm just pretty sure it doesn't.

Lastly why did they name it windows 7?
3.XX -> 95 -> 98 -> 2000 -> XP -> Vista -> 7
I just don't get it. Also yes I left out ME it was just a less stable build of 98 with newer drivers.
