And to correct the previous poster a PRL is not a list of towers. It's a list of cellular systems that your phone can roam off of. It will not increase coverage for native signal.

How do you prove to them you're in a low coverage area???

Calling and complain that you can't get a signal in your home..
I did. I was going to cancel because I couldn't use my phone in my house.

Tell them you are cancelling due to no signal. They will send you to retentions. Ask about the Airave. They will look your address up...tell them you are missing phone calls...your phone goes to roaming all the time. Done deal... I called retentions straight up...google around for the number. Took like 5 minutes on the phone.

I went through numerous radios from different carriers before getting to 1.11.00F. This one works great for me. Previously I was using the Alltel Radio 1.07....something...This worked better than my previous Sprint radio.
This nice thing about upgrading the radio is that you do not need to Hard reset your phone, so you can try a different one each day until you find one that works well for you.

so who do i call and talk about this? would be nice to have something like this if i dont have to pay for it[/size]

edit: i guess it doesnt matter because i dont have sprint

edit: also a prl will help IF they just built a new tower

so to sum up, pri won't do anything for this. and prl may if a new tower has been built. that 200 dollar thing, does that work great? must for that kind of cash.

A new PRL does not help with a new tower being built. It's not a "list of towers" your phone can pick up. It's list of system ID's that your phone can communicate with it. When a new tower is added in your area, it will use the same SID as the others and your phone will start using it with no updates needed.
