The customer would respond that they already had a plan with Unlimited Data which was less expensive then the SEP plan.
Sprints response would be, well they didn't really have an answer.
I agree that purchasing or switching plans is on Sprint's agenda as to why such a High price for the Pro 2.
But that will be short lived.
Doubtful. I think you'll have to keep your eyes open an hope a Sprint reseller eats some of the cost and drops the device price. In the last two WinMo generations I've been with Spint (since the Mogul). I have yet to see then drop the price of their top end Windows Mobile device.

Just like the Touch Pro. It is considered "EOL" and they have it still at $299.99. I remember the Mogul was $299.99 until it was taken down off their website.

Maybe Amazon will hook you up like they did T-Mobile customers.

That might be - and if there is a performance increase, it would warrant a second look. But according to the HTC site, they are identical...

both chips operate at 538MHz but it all depends on how the chips process that info. 7500 Vs 7600.

Diamond all the way for me.
I was just chiming in on the price point of the Pro 2.

Re: Sprint TP2 for $350

Agreed that clock speed is not painting the whole pictures. I did not know that the processors were different revisions. This has again peaked my interest. One thing is for certain - I would not plunk down this kind of money (with or without rebates) without first getting a good hands-on test-drive. I'd bring a loaded-up SD card with my main apps, and have at it.

I'm so sick of the TV commercials showing this TP just whipping through different menus, switching to camera, then album, then resize in real time. That's BS. Don't care what rom you have, none are instant. I'm on an Ambien high, just before the crash. I tend to get long winded... nite nite. enjoyed the dialog.

Re: Sprint TP2 for $350

This price doesn't surprise me in regards to the history of HTC. It does surprise me in regards to how the market is shaped today. The iPhone which is pretty much the Cadillac of consumer grade smartphones is strutting its low end at $99 subsidized and $199 for top tier. HTC has always been viewed as a high expense almost luxury phone and they dont really seem to interested in shucking this image, except with T-Mobile.

I just picked up my Touch Pro for $99 on VZW and its not great, but at that price it sells. Assuming their TP2 has full RAM this time around as well as 3.5mm I would see $199 w/ contract a great price even $250 would be acceptable but $350 is beyond the pale.

I may be wrong, but if I am right, look for prices to drop in a short period of time.
I think you are right. I don't want to be on a TP2 for 2 years when LTE and WiMax 4G is rolled out next year.

Re: Sprint TP2 for $350

They might be, but those devices sure do not do what the TP does.

Re: Sprint TP2 for $350

Well, I'm personally not chomping at the bit to get a TP2, especially after seeing the price... then again, my contract expired back in March so maybe once the TP2 comes out, if I threaten to cancel my service maybe I can talk them into a break on an upgrade ROFL... Actually, I doubt it will happen, but it would be worth a shot

Actually I don't think so. Picking up the phone and going through all the waiting and automated crap for them to say "no". Eh lol
