Re: Physical Damage?

you should be fine with that. My TP had a spot that was MUCH worse that than from being dropped in a gravel parking lot, but it was only on the trim so they didnt consider it physical damage at the repair center. Ive never had an issue with anything like that at the sprint store i go to.

Thats good to know. I went to the store today ( spent an hour there ) they didnt have any replacements for me... called CS who gave THEM the run around(quite entertaining) and then said they'd send out a new phone.

http://www.phoneclaim.com/verizon-lookup

Thats for verizon users.

Basically go to their site, say you wanna file a claim, select your carrier, then go to the bottom where it says check my deductible.

Re: Physical Damage?

on the subject of the deductible, im sure verizon probably does things differently, however, just for reference, with sprint unless they determine the problem was caused by water or physical damage, the replacement is free. if its physical or water damage, you have to call asurion and get it replaced through them.

So thats not too bad.
that's your best route just to get you back into the warranty time frame. Once your back on your feet with a device, the VZ warranty continues...trust me, I work for them.

BTW, we can now send out your PDA's from a store! No more calling in (unless you get someone who may not be as versed on a Windows PDA as some others are :P)!!! Most do not know this process yet, so don't be rude if they try to call it in. Jst tell them (as though you have a buddy who works for Verizon...yours truely) to click the "Alternate" check box under the "CLNR Screen". It will allow us to what we call "d-fill" you replacements without having to deal with the "check the software version" stuff you get when calling in for the phone being seperated in half due to under-torqued screws...lol (no offense to the best company I've worked for lol). CHEERS!!!

Re: Physical Damage?

YEa thats a MANUFACTURERS defect. I took my alltel TP and the REP called CS and talked to them and no questions asked, I got a new TP in the mail 2 days later. AND if its under warranty they should not charge you a deductible fee at all. Im really tryin to take care of my ALLTEL TP as everybody is gettin VZW TP as replacements.
