phantom email indicator

So i have this phantom email indicator that will not go away. no matter what i do to my email accounts it still show a new email even when i dont have one...

i was playing w/ google sync this morning and after that is when that is when the indicator showed up.

i dont know how to get rid of it. any suggestions besides a hard reset?!

Let try this, click on that email and then delete it, click "menu", tool, then "Empty Deleted Items" after that do soft reset to see whether that email still shows up.

Could it be indicating an unread text message and not an email? Like the previous poster said you should be able to delete the new email if it's in there and then do a soft reset. Or maybe you can go into your email program and delete the account and then resetup the account again.

i will try that...i have deleted my account 3 times though and soft reset each time. and everytime i soft reset it still shows that i have an email even though there are no accounts.
i will try the empty deleted item thing and hopefully it works, its really buggin me!
