IMO, the problems with WM is moreso an issue of what the manufacturers are doing with it more than what it actually is.

The WM6.1 is being completely overhauled. Do U understand that? Because 6.1 is a joke. and here U say, Oh we don't need to change 6.1. It's perfect as it is. R U a noob?

I'm a n00b to the forum, not a n00b to WM devices.

Do you use your phone for business? WM, specifically 6.1, is FANTASTIC for it. And that's the #1 thing I need out of my phone.

You do see the irony in arguing how my comments toward the Pre only apply to me, and then try repeatedly to tell me how poor WM is in your opinion even after I have said it's a nice os? Funny.

while I have looked into the Pre & even thought for an instant about getting one, I decided against it for several reasons...

1. Winmo customization
2. Graphics
3. Full keyboard
4. Wireless router capabilities
5. Better compatibility with web sites

..I could go on, but the bottom line is there is more customization & functionality built into the Touch Pro IMO.

not to say the Pre isn't a cool device, but I just need more than what it offers.

Are you kidding me? I understand your preference of winmo over the pre bit you reasons are really uninformed

1. I give you that one even though there has been great customizations for the pre like the status icons, skinned dialer, icons, bootscreen etc. But nowhere near winmo

2. Pre has a faster processor and better graphics rendering than the pro2 that still lacks drivers so I have no idea where you got that. (see how well it runs doom in 3d for example)

3. The pre has a full keyboard but the pro2 is way better

4. Have you heard of 'My Tether'?

5. Dude, its WebOS so its all about the net. No better compatibility there.... Plus the browser is the best I have ever tried

To all their own, hope you are happy with your pro2. Its all about preference though

I have a Touch Pro... My hubby has the Pre...

It is a cool phone. Feels relatively solid... I think is phone is 'neat'. It has a lot of stuff out there. "Homebrew" apps... and such. He is really enjoying it. Where the WinMo phones he had either frustrated him or he just never really used to their potential.

I am curious about the Pre. If I have another keyboard fail on my pro... I may jump ship... but I think I could become bored with the pre... So jumping ship is not a solid decision yet.
