Re: TP wont start. Shows "touch pro" then crashes, vibrates and restarts
Sounds like a bad file, I had that happen. Redownload a ROM and try again.

Re: TP wont start. Shows "touch pro" then crashes, vibrates and restarts
I am having the same problem with my Verizon Touch Pro. I've been running Mighty ROM 6.5 for a few months without a hitch, until recently. It vibrates like its starting to boot, then a couple of seconds later, it vibrates again like its constantly looping thru the POST. this is the 2nd time i've had this happen in the past few weeks. after the first time it happened, i left it off for a few days and it returned (somewhat) back to normal.
One thing i've noticed, is if i hold in the reset button and power it on, it will actually boot like its supposed to, but as soon as i let go of the reset button, it will shut off and go back into the reboot loop. Anybody know whats going on? |

1) Advice like that isn't helpful and just makes you look like a jerk. jerk What he did is usually fixable by flashing a stock rom as posted by another user. |

All he did was probably get a gsm rom instead of a cdma rom.
Next time though, you dont necessarily need to go back to another stock rom...just get a rom thats for cdma devices. |

Nah I definitely have the right ROM. Flashing it back didn't help. Besides, its been working perfectly for a few months.
The good news is, Verizon said its covered, so they are shipping me a new one. Thanks for your help, tho! |

Re: TP wont start. Shows "touch pro" then crashes, vibrates and restarts
I've had a sprint touch pro for about 4 months now..... has a silence rom on it and unlocked since day 1.
Today, went to use the phone and it was locked up, removed the battery and tried to turn it on... nothing. Threw it on the charger for 20 min & tried to power it on with it plugged in, booted up and showed a 75% charge. Removed the cable and the phone shut off. Plugged phone back in and got constant reboot/vibrate/reboot/vibrate etc. Tried a different battery from another touch pro I have.... still had the same problem. Won't even go into the reboot loop if it's not plugged in. Suggestions? |

I'm gonna take a guess here and say most of you having these issues are using Verizon TP...
Lower the pagepool on your rom and then reflash! 8-12 is a good number for Verizon pp. |

If you haven't gotten it fixed/replaced already, check the battery contacts. If you put the battery in backwards, it'll bend the contacts and can cause the reboot looping. This happened to me in the first days of release, GF got too excited, put the battery in backwards, then thought she broke her phone. Bent the contacts out with a pin, and only had to pull the battery out maybe once or twice with a lockup in the 9 months I had it. I don't think it'll power up when plugged in if it doesn't have a battery in it.
