Resco Explorer's settings may be in the registry, but the actual registration key / process is not. It is supposed to use the Windows/wmtrigger.dat file -according to other posts and sites where I originally looked. I do back this up but have not been too successful getting the registration to work when I copy this file back. Just an FYI.

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

Yeah I agree - I'm on my 7th Touch Pro, 4th just this month!

It's great to be able to pick up my phone from sprint, and unlock and flash it back to the way I had it before the keyboard went out ALL DONE BEFORE I GET HOME!

Talk about sweet!

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

No because the normal customization process that a custom ROM goes through has already happened by the time UC picks up sashimi

No, you have to run Sashimi after you hard reset,

If want the UC section (which most custom roms use) to launch sashimi then read POST 1 under Information Section > User Customization to Launch Sashimi

Yes, still have the option once it launches Sashimi to exit it and not push your settings. which is nice, because you need to hard reset after a flash and there is not point to installing your settings for a hard reset.

That is pretty cool.
So you are adding folders that hold the reg files so you won't have to reg again?

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

well i found some programs (lumos) for example stores the settings in a file.

so after sashimi does its thing, it then moves the settings file to the lumos folder so that lumos has my correct settings.

I think its a matter of how the programers decide to do their work. some use registry values some use .ini or even .txt files for settings.

so i grab whatever i see that looks like a setting and store it.

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

To setup the start menu in 6.5.1 the way we went it, is all we have to do is copy the folder structure to the Storage Card/SASHIMI/Auto/Root? Same with any other file's and folder's we want placed on a fresh build, correct?

Also, how to we backup the WiFi Router (CMInternetSharing.exe) settings? That way we can connect to it without having to set it back up?

Many thanks!
