Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

Rapidshare is retarded, everyone should use MegaUpload.

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

I mean you don't have to wait forever for downloads, the downloads are faster, and if you register with them (for free) then you can get instant downloads.
Another added bonus is you get like 50GB with them just for being a regular member, I see no reason why anyone should use CRAPidshare

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

I suggest either "Off Topic" or General PPC Discussion", as it isn't specific to any device, (or even paticularly Windows Mobile).

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

if you have a premium megaupload account ill gladly take it off your hands... i recieved my rapidshare premium for free so id rather use something i dont have to pay for. Rapidshare is much more simple to upload files and handle them IMO, plus there arent annoying popups every time you download something. Megaupload is filled with annoying adds and features you will never use. Rapidshare is more to the point you dont have to wait very long for downloads from it either idk what your talking about. isnt it 45 seconds on megaupload for all file sizes?

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

Or why not use a real file host? You know, one that lets a single user upload multiple files and have their own section? Something like filefront or fileqube comes to mind. That way, if a user wants to see what other files people have, they can just browse your documents. Better yet, why not use Microsoft's new sky drive? 25 gigs of free storage if you have a windows live account (which pretty much everyone here probably does)

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

Yeah, that's what I'm starting to use.
The sky drive that is.
I've actually have a few different ones.

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

I have one at all three of those. I personally can't stand megaupload or rapidshare.

I like being able to hotlink stuff, but there's really no free way to do that, that I know of. Skydrive is definitely awesome. You know the speeds are top notch since it's Microsoft, and 25 gigs for free allows for a small hard drive backup.

Re: Why does everyone use Rapidshare?

Exactly.
That's why I have a few of them,
that way I can backup EVERYTHING.

And then I have one just for my phone stuff.

I really only got a rapid account because I download movies,
not gonna lie,
and I can't download torrents anymore because I've been traced too many times.
hahaha.
I had to sign a contract saying I wouldn't do it anymore,
or no more internet with my company indefinitely.
So that would kinda suck.
So now I just download with rapidshare. haha.
A few other forums I'm on use rapidshare primarily also.
