I have to say I'm pretty lucky. My wife doesn't complain about my geekdom (it sure pays the bills-I'm a senior systems engineer professionally) and she's given into the call of the geek. (She also runs 4 computer labs for students)

Heck, this weekend alone she was on the xbox killin folks for around 26 hours. At one time she was playing games on the Xbox, AND on her pc. (at the same time) She's not into her phone tho. To her, it's just another tool to have to talk to folks. But she doesn't mind mine, as long as I have it on when she wants to call.

SWMBO has declaired that if I mention my phone to her one more time, she will um-bop that thing right into the disposal... So, when I get her an I-phone in the fall, I will have to listen to the constant "my phone can do this, can your's from her..." at which point, I'll just load some app on my that lets me take control of hers and show her once and for all why WinMo rocks... plus I'll have to do that just to keep my little techno-phobe happy and supported.

It doesn't help that she has issues with one of her acquaintences who also has a TP.

My wife is funny, she knows I am a geek and she acts like she has interest. When she needs a new phone she asks me what she should get. I always suggest the latest greatest ppc to which she give it the once over and inevitably picks the cute pink phone. She has an instinct now which she hates but hey its cute.

I think i do myself a disservice by being on here and always flashing my phone and playing i with roms. I think she thinks my phones never work which is why I am tinkering. I have told her otherwise but perception is reality. Oh well.

I hear from my wife all the time "put down that stupid phone"...I put it into perspective for her...I just said, "ok....Im gonna play with my geek toys or go to the bar...which one ya want??? " Needless to say, I haven't heard her complain about my phone again...she actually tries to show interest now haha
