Re: How to disable lock?!

See my above post. There is at least one program/cab/something out there that claims to bypass. But it sounds like circumventing would be a big mistake. Other posters here aren't understanding your issue: that your corporate exchange server administrator forces a numeric lock on your phone, which is a feature of exchange that many people don't know about. It's meant not to be by-p-a-s-s-e-d (prurience filter thinks I'm using a bad word!) and installing another lock will not do anything. In addition, the corporate exchange server has the ability to restrict the time interval, so horndoctor's idea may not work (sounds like they let you go up to 15 minutes, though). I've heard of limits set at 1 minute. Which means you make a call, and when you try to jot a note or do anything mid-call, you have to enter your PIN.

I know you said you keep an eye on your phone, but a thief or thieves could be keeping a closer eye on it and/or outnumber you.

Yes you are exactly correct. Do you by chance remember the name of the cab/program? I've searched all around and can't find anything, that's why i started this thread....

thanks!!

Re: How to disable lock?!

Most programs don't actually over ride the windows lock, they work beside it. To get both working together, you disable a password lock on the default windows one and set one up with another program of your choice. Programs like S2U2 come to mind. S2U2 has tons of settings too. You can set it so it will only prompt you for a password on wake, and set times of up to 24 hours for the password to be asked for.

Re: How to disable lock?!

If it is the default lock screen you should be able to go into the Settings/lock menu screen that and either disable it, or make it longer (mine has up to 24 hours). If you can't do that, perhaps IT installed something besides the Basic lock.

Let us know maybe someone can help out if it isn't stock, but if it is, you should be able to fix it as described.

You guys should read the post above. It's the stock windows lock that the exchange server im connected to enforces. Basically i can not disable it or change it to longer than 15 minutes (set by exchange admin) ... whenever you connect your phone to an exchange server it saves all your emails, contacts, task, calendar, etc and syncs it with your computer. So basically if you change anything on your computer it changes it on your phone. In order to use this the lock must be "enabled" ... i'm trying to find a way around it...

Re: How to disable lock?!

try autolock (CSDevCtrl) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=386451
it has options to override and work with the built in lock.
I don't use that feature (pin lock), but I think it should work for ya.
