Email/sms notification "display on screen" unchecks itself

As the title says, in "Sounds & Notifications" if I select "Display Notification On Screen" for txt or emails, after a while it will uncheck itself. This is very annoying as I WANT to see the notifications! Any ideas?? I searched and found nothing...
