It's is along the same lines as flashing a ROM. Sync your TP, run the radio RUU and your radio will change. No loss of data.

I am currently using 1.11 and like how it attenuates. Haven't tried the Telus radio. My battery life is pretty good as is.

Context would be more correct as it involves this word with what we are trying to achieve (getting a better signal, versus the meaning of the word attenuate). But, yes it is correct. Attenuation is the decrease of amplitude as it pertains to an electronic signal. A decrease in amplitude would help battery life.

I see, I learned it was a decrease in signal or the changing of one signal to another via aplitude modulation in school so in that case we're good

Re: Sprint users... What radio do you use?? And what works the best!!??

I've not tried a different radio yet, but would like to try the telus and maybe sprint 1.11. Does anyone know if there is a way to flash the radio from the storage card? Would it be as easy as loading it onto a card and then clicking on it? Thanks!

Re: Sprint users... What radio do you use?? And what works the best!!??

Everyone seems to tout the Telus radio as the best, so that's the one I use. Whether or not its actually better than the stock Sprint radio probably requires empirical testing which most of us are too lazy to do, hahah.
