stuck in landscape mode?

All of a sudden my touch pro has switched to landscape mode permanently. I thought it was possibly a rom issue but after trying a few different roms, its still a problem. I tried going into settings, screen and switching back to portait mode while it does help temporarily, it just goes back to landscape mode. Has anyone had this glitch and knows how to fix it??

Re: stuck in landscape mode?

I haven't experienced your problem but a quick Google search returned a few forum posts by people who did ...

Unfortunately, the general consensus was that if you hard reset (or flash) your TP, anything on the software side that might affect the slide-triggered rotation would be overwritten... If the problem persists, the device is most likely faulty.

Since you already tried a few ROMs and the problem is still there ... I think it's safe to assume it's warranty time.

Again, it was just a quick Google search so I could be wrong, I hope you find a better solution

Re: stuck in landscape mode?

I've had my Touch Pro for less than a year & that exact problem just started over the weekend. Currently flashing, but immediately switched into landscape mode while updating (Not Good.) Did anyone ever resolve the issue? Or is it like the man said, replacement?

Re: stuck in landscape mode?

I will try hard reset to see if this solves the problem, after that replacement will be the next step.

Happened to me. It's a warranty replacement. This should be considered a known issue by Sprint. Don't let them sucker you into paying for anything (if you have TEP). But even if you don't have a TEP it should still be covered. Make sure to tell the techs you already soft and hard reset and that the issue didnt resolve itself.

Re: stuck in landscape mode?

Yup I can confirm that this has been happening to me, hard resets/flashing didn't do anything. I finally got tired enough of it that I called Sprint and they're sending out an advanced replacement asap at no charge. Was not a fight in the slightest and they were great about it.

I'm downloading the stock sprint rom right now so i can return to stock and relock before return to be safe.
