Re: Flashing Rom files
I'm a raw novice really, but kind of an IT geek otherwise. This is my 3rd WM phone but first time flashing ROMs. I've flashed 3 times this month, and what I've found is that the general instructions (found in FAQ and elsewhere) are more complicated that these ROMs actually require.
Unlock your phone, of course. Once that's done, I have not had fuss around moving .nbh files and renaming things. The ROMs I've used all had a file called something like ROMUpdate.exe. Running the .exe file file from the desktop with an activesync connection on Vista updated the ROM, that's all it took. I have no opinion about whether Vista is required, whether activesync connection is required, or whether other ROMS are uploaded this way, but that's my experience so far. --- Backup, by the way, seems to hardly work at all. I own Sprite and have used others, and the best I get is personal information like email accounts and sigs. No programs stayed authorized, and none of my customizations carried over. This is going from one ROM to a completely different ROM, and my experience seems to be reflected elsewhere here. |

Here's a link to the Upgrade sub-forum where all the custom roms and radios are for the touch pro

Re: Flashing Rom files
RAR is an archive format, similiar to ZIP - just download 7zip or WinRAR to open RARs
