ain't no one else steppin in. thanks for all your help though. about the hard resets, i do those a couple times each time i flash. it's with my text too. i've got someone texting me as i make minor adjustments. nada bro. thanks again. i'll keep at it.

finally solved. well i guess sprite backup doesn't like 6.5 too well when it comes to contacts. i backed my contacts up with pim backup, erased my current contacts, then restored them back with pim backup. vola!
