I did the dslreports.com/mspeed (did download test only) on the phone and was around 700k, I get 1.25mb when tethered.. get the same on both my laptop and desktop when tethered.

No texting/calls when tethered. I have lived with this poor upload tethered performance since I got the phone a few months ago, like I said before this phone I had a mogul and it was much faster.. uploads at least. downloads was about the same.. maybe a little slower with the touch pro.

**just did mobilespeedtest.com got 1013kps

Re: Telus V1.04.05V Radio R

The upload speed is a direct correlation to the download speed. Upload speed is a percentage/fraction of download with all carriers/isp(s). What PRL are you running, updating to the latest PRL may also help you?

Your going to need your MSL (Master Subsidy Lock) code, 1. 2, your going to need to go to www.corolada.com/prl and get 60750. Put the new PRL on your storage card/or phone. Sprint is the only one that can provide your MSL. ##775#, MSL, update prl and voila. Give that a try and see if helps any.

I'm using 60750, it's not an issue. The network doesn't care that its on your phone. And because it's for "data cards" it may be beneficial for your speeds. Do a forum search for MSL* to get help with getting yours.
