Re: Getting google maps to work on TP

Mine won't work on Com0 or Com4. It comes up saying "seeking GPS satellites (xxxxxxxx)..." so I know it's seeing the radio.

I had it working when I first installed Goggle Maps. Didn't use it for a month or so, in which time I installed a boatload of apps, and now it doesn't work. I think I might have to do a hard reset to get it back.

Anything else I can try? And ya, my location is set to on.

Edit: I've also tried reinstalling Google Maps to no avail.

Re: Getting google maps to work on TP

FWIW, i have my external GPS settings set to COM4 and 4800, but in Google Maps (at least the new version) I have to set it manually to COM4 and 9600 for it to find sattelites... @ 4800 baud is just gives the same "searching for sattelites (########)" and never seems to lock on... with what appear to be random numbers, and those numbers change daily...

if i change it to 9600 it'll take 60 seconds to lock or so, but then i can go in and change it back to 4800 and it will lock in 3 or 4
