beam is an ability to xfer data between a phone and a 'puter(similar to Blueteeth...lol)

I figured away to get them now with mighty I have to go into my email account and hit send/receive and then i'll get them they dont come auto like they did on other rom. "Beaming" on a PocketPC refers to file transfer, whether to computer or any other device. It can refer to IR or Bluetooth, but as your Touch Pro doesn't have IR, it is only referring to BT in this case. Under Beam settings, "Receive all incoming beams" just refers to the phone's ability to receive files through BT, unchecking the box will effectively block incoming file transfers, but will still allow outgoing transmissions.
Also, to clarify what RonDutt said, the DiamondConfig program has an option to disable EVDO timeout, which really only refers to the data session timeout, they just use the term EVDO because most people have it. Disabling the timeout should also work for your 1xRTT data connection. |
