Re: WinMo 6.5 Device Lock Question
Yeah.. long press key is cool and all, but I just preffer it lock when i hit the power button to shut off the screen instead of waiting for it to activate. Just my prefference tho.

Re: WinMo 6.5 Device Lock Question
I agree with you but hate having to enter a password everytime I hit the power button. Would love to find a way to have it set without a password.

Try one of these two cabs. I use csdevctrl-V.6.0.6 which is a newer version than the one posted and I have no problems.

Re: WinMo 6.5 Device Lock Question
i had a thought but i'm not sure how to implement it. the device lock can be engaged by assigning it to the end key or through several other means. that's the same device lock program that runs when you set a password, only when you don't assign a password and just engage it with a key, it works password-free. the problem we run into is that to get that same device lock program to run on startup we have to go through the lock application which asks us to set a password. if there was any way (perhaps through the registry) to fool the system into thinking that we went through the lock program but did not set a password, the lock should engage. maybe there's some stupid key there somewhere that has a value like "lock on wake = 1". someone with a bigger brain than i, help me out here.

Re: WinMo 6.5 Device Lock Question
It blows me away that no one has found a simple fix for this. If only we could use the built in lock/timeout with no password our prayers would be answered. Someone has got to be able to rewrite the built in device lock program to not require a password! HELP!!!
How can there not be an easy way to just do device lock when screen dims or when power off time out is reached or power key is pressed?
