Re: [4-20] nueDynamicClock - dynamically adjust clock for battery life

well, I installed this program at 12 noon, after having my phone on already for just over an hour already (from 11 - 12), I was at 90% at time of install and set up. I set it up with the same as your screenshot cause because I didn't have any better ideas for myself.

it's now 8:34pm and it JUST hit 60%, usually by now it'd be at 20, just waiting to get to 10 and saying I'd better recharge it or else!

I have push Windows Live Hotmail set up, and even in suspend mode at 19.2MHz the emails still come through instantly. I tried phoning myself a few times, and it seems to start ringing just about the same as normal.

running the shipped stock Telus ROM, just done some Diamond Tweaks and this. Very pleased to be able to have my data connection always on, and push email going, and use this to save battery consumption.

GREAT work!!!

thx no2chem for looking into the issue, i think i will stay low on the dynamicclock for a while. let me know when you release a new version that would help with the stuttering.

just something i was wondering. does this affect charging? is that considered standby if i plug my phone in to charge and turn the screen off? if so does this mean the phone will charge slower?

no, charging is really just dependent on physics, chemistry, and how much your phone wants to draw + how much is available for you to draw.. not much to do with cpu cycles.

edit: well, i guess you have to factor in the amount of discharge your phone is doing; in which case I would have to say no, your phone will actually charge faster.

God I LOVE this program! Combined with EVDO off after 1 minute, I'm running at 79% battery since this morning when this was released! Got a few calls, 30+ emails, 200 texts (had at issue at the datacenter i work at...servers like talking to me, humans, not so much :(). Amazing job no2chem! Will donate as soon as Paypal lets me :)

I WISH I could do EVDO off after 1 minute, but when I set that in DiamondTweak, it makes it so I can't answer calls anymore. theres a thread to fix that, (answer calls while data connection is enabled) but when I change the registy from the GPRS to #777, it disables the EVDO off after 1 minute tweak. pain in the but.

I gotta say, after an 8 hour shift my battery is still at 70% where normally it'd be 30% or less. This is truly awesome. Only had it lock up once while playing sirius radio. I did notice some delays when bringing it out of standby as well but I can live with that.

no2chem you are a god among men!! I was having some nasty battery issues with my ROM but this app saved my life! With audiomanager rolling I found 122mhz is perfect with no hiccups, and the system comes back to full speed almost instantly. If I turned the screen off, with s2u2 it takes a second or two to "wake up" but that is easily survivable.

Makes a huge difference. Everybody try this now!!
