i dont have a data plan with verizon,for my touch pro,tried to use skyfire and internet eplorer and they didnt work, then i used opera mobile and it WORKED.
Is Verizon gonna charge me extra

if you activated this phone on verizon you must have a data plan
they dont allow activation without purchasing a data plan anymore
unless you pay for the data you use which is way more expensive
i would say yes in someway you will get charged because i tried everything to get them to not activate with a data plan but i ended up having to pay for it in the end

and opera didnt work i tried puttinh something in google and it gave me an error that i dont have a connection

no way at all ive tried all of this when i had my 6700
but you need data plan for pix messages

and now they make you have a data plan with all smart phones released after december! ahhh but i dont mind gave me a good excuse to get a data plan on my parents accound

You actually do not need a paid data plan for MMS (pic messages) & they don't charge for them as data use. If you connect online for anything else however, the charges add up real quick.........

yes you do! trust me you wont be able to get them on smartphones without a data plan
ive had 3 other windows mobile phones without data plans and you wernt able to receive them
