i dont have a data plan with verizon,for my touch pro,tried to use skyfire and internet eplorer and they didnt work, then i used opera mobile and it WORKED.
Is Verizon gonna charge me extra

if you activated this phone on verizon you must have a data plan
they dont allow activation without purchasing a data plan anymore
unless you pay for the data you use which is way more expensive
i would say yes in someway you will get charged because i tried everything to get them to not activate with a data plan but i ended up having to pay for it in the end

and opera didnt work i tried puttinh something in google and it gave me an error that i dont have a connection

no way at all ive tried all of this when i had my 6700
but you need data plan for pix messages ](*,) and now they make you have a data plan with all smart phones released after december! ahhh but i dont mind gave me a good excuse to get a data plan on my parents accound :evil4:

i just barely activated my phone and i havent had a data connection, by the way its a sprint on verixon if that matters
