Re: touch pro air chamber project (lol)
wow lol. I'm jealous that I wasn't the first one to test it, but still very grateful for your efforts towards this project.
With it sitting on that stand, does it still feel cool to the touch? At that height I would think the effect would be the air flowing upward to the battery cover. Does this work better? Ok, off to bed. Got a big day of measurin, dremmlin', and coolin' :P

Re: touch pro air chamber project (lol)
i have a setup going a spare xbox 360 stock fans on 5v, running wifirouter and streaming netflix with my xbox 360..... been on for 30 mins and the phone is a little warm but not hot.
if you want the fans to run off the laptop than you wont get 12v so you really cant do a test with a 12v fan. also running stock sprint rom with 1.03.15 radio Last edited by spivey8; 04-18-2009 at 12:18 AM. Reason: more info |

Re: touch pro air chamber project (lol)
HAHA! Isn't this ridiculous? We are being forced to do this mods to keep this freaking thing working properly. I have a issue too with over heating... I tried all the roms, radios and everything available here. Nothing works. Its a engineering fault. Anyways... I travel a bit and use the gps a lot. When the gps is active this thing can cook an egg. SO when I leave on a 2 hour trip I leave it plugged in the car charger all the way down the trip. Abut 2 ours or more sometimes. SO by the time I am reached my destination, I unplug it and the battery is at 5 percent. LLOLL!! So I have a new technical procedure that I do all the time. I keep my moon roof open in my car and just hold it out the rook half way down the trip. That keeps the battery charging. pathetic htc.

Re: touch pro air chamber project (lol)
depending on the features of your car, and the outside temperature, you could put it near one of your vents with the AC on, or just have it blowing air over it.
But, I have been known to hold my phone out the window or against a cold soda to cool it down.
