if you restore a backup with spb and the program is already installed it could cause problems [or so ive heard]
your best bet is to save the cabs in a specific folder to install when you flash a new rom
or check out UC (do a quick search on this site) this will automatically install cabs for you every time you theres another program that does this but i cant remember the name something like shamsui
i'll do a search and see what i can find. thanks for the insight though (i hit the thanks button as well)

Re: Rom swap

hey, I just switched from stock ROM to Mighty Mike 4.16 and was using SPB to backup. It did NOT work well on the restore...it got caught up on something, which is expected given reg tweaks, etc, on the original setup...I've read that Sprite works better when going from one ROM to another, and am trying it out myself...the benefit is the ability to tell the program which cabs to restore to the new rom ndividually...if there is a way to do it on SPB, I wasn't able to figure it out...
