i use both, if I have my laptop plugged in or it's battery has a decent charge and I have a USB cable handy I use USB. If I just need to get on for a few minutes or so I just use wmwifirouter.
Don't really use it that much, though it has come in to save the day a few times.

usb. i just wish the phone wouldn't get so hot. I have to slide the kb out and keep it next to the window.

I always go USB if need be. I am tethered at 1x right now since my resort has paid wifi
