if you set it up through windows live and set the schedule to "as they come" then all emails will get pushed to your phone as they arrive in your mailbox. You have to make sure you set it up correctly within the Windows Live program however.

you can go into you inbox options, and change the frequency of how often it checks for messages, default is manual

+1 for dans suggestion, i have it set to automatically check every fifteen minutes. Depending on how often you are going to receive email, you might want to set it longer, it does have an effect on battery life. (at least to me it does)

I'm pretty sure that just keeps your data running constantly, I don't think hotmail has a push server

Window live works just like I was use to. Perfect, I will monitor my battery consumption to see if i tweak it down to every 30 minutes or so . Thanking all of you now.!
