ROM unlocker, now having major computer issues

My computer is having some serious issues after running the unlocker program to unlock my brothers TP. First I will explain what program i used then the problem I am having. I dont know if this is a known issue or is unrelated but really need your help here!

First I used Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip found at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503 to unlock my brothers phone. When I did this it got to the % part and then I got a blue screen error on my laptop, something about a memmory leak and I powered off and then back on. Tried it a second time and same thing blue error screen, when I come back into Windows I get a message that Windows has recovered from a fatal error... 2 times was enough so I figured out how to do it via sd now im having the following:

This has happned now twice in the past 2 days. My internet connection on my pc (wifi) suddenly acts up cant connect and nothing fixes it so I do a restart, computer does bios screen and then then straight to a black screen, windows never loads. I was able to get back into windows by dowing recovery consol and a chkdsk but it happned again today. This could be totally unrelated but it just started happening, the first time it happned it happned 10 mins after I got the 2nd blue screen error. Any help is really really appreciated.

not 100% on this but every time i have ever had a blue screen it was memory related, every time a bad stick of memory

if u have another pc handy just enter safe mode on the issue pc, go to control panel, administrative tools, and open up event viewer. after opening it up google the problems see what they bring up.

i will do that later today, the thing that gets me though is that it makes sense if its a gpu, power, memory issue but why does chkdsk fix it, that links it to more of booting or hard drive error, just wondering if any one else has ever had this happen.

ANYWAYS, sounds like a memory issue. Run memtest (both windows based and dos based versions) and let it run for about 24 hours. Just make sure the laptop is in a good cool area.

RAM should be able to get put under stress for over 24 hours.

Re: ROM unlocker, now having major computer issues

Had the exact same issue the other day trying to relock my phone. Had to use another pc to do it. Ran a memory test and everything was ok but I cant run the unlocker or relocker on my laptop without this error.

Re: ROM unlocker, now having major computer issues

My USB slot sometimes overload if I unplug and plug in something too much in a short period of time. It'll freeze and won't boot until I manually disconnect it from the wall and turn it back on again. Really weird, but true. Computers are just evil like that.
