hi. i downloaded both .cab files directly to the phone. i went to install the "dcd cricket carrier" file and it acted like it was going to work. it asked me where i wanted to install the file and i selected "device" then i clicked install and got an error message saying "dcd cricket carrier cannot be installed" and it suggested installing to another location. i tried to install onto my storage card and got the same message. i clicked cancel and got a message saying "installation of dcd cricket carrier 20081031.cab was unsuccessful". i then went to install the "sprint mms" file and it acted like it installed a little but then an error message came up saying "installation was unsuccessful. the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions". my rom is isriam v4.20. i'm so confused lol

i'm working with her. had her hard reset device and use stock settings included in the rom.

Nancy, not sure if you got the reg settings sorted out, but i'd recommend CERegEditor by mdSoft. It's a reg editor that lets you edit your phones registry from your PC, makes things ALOT easier!!!

sounds like security issue installing sdkcerts cab first then DCD carrier cabs would be best bet however from my experience this does not work with certain ROMS hmmm.... searching for arcsoft 5 Titan cab might yeild best results again as with the first post of this thread, if arcsoft is already in this ROM neither will work. This Cab setups mms without need to reg tweak for cricket

isriam no offence but his rom has arcsoft is built in the rom i had about 3 days trying over and over before getting my email and pic messaging working its no freakin settings or anything theyre tellin u its the rom dont hard reset if your phone is flashed get mightys rom 4 and active sync and download to your ppc and then follow these directions on pge one and then BAM everything will work guaranteed if u have problems message me and i will respond i was a noob with no help and didnt understand crap but learned with some help and i love my htc

got everything working pic messaging text email google maps web youtube face book video messaging its all in the ROM and thx to pg 1

Hello, I recently got my hands on a verizon htc 6900 flashed for cricket. The web and sms worked, but my pic messaging didnt. I ran through the steps on the first post, all except step two. Installing the dcd cricket carrier 20081031.cab file will not install on my phone. It says "installation unsuccessful. The sprint mms file executed and installed perfectly. Does anyone know what i can do? I changed the X-CRICKET_MDN number with mine, and deleted the X-Verizon-mdn key, but left the sprint one. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

go into the server settings of mms options in text messages. make sure you are using the cricket connection

I had to uninstall arcsoft, and then it worked. It took me a while of messing around with it, but its set. THanks though

5. click advanced. Click select networks. Under both drop downs select Cricket. click ok. click ok again and then click the X so it takes you out of that menu into the main screen.

6.Install Sprintmms.cab attached

7. soft reset

8. Go to your messages and click menu/MMS options and then click server you should have something called "Sprint" already just click it. You need to change the following settings:

Server Name Cricket
Gateway leave blank
Port Number 8080
Server address http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
Connect Via Cricket
Sending limit 5000k
Click Done
click OK to get out of the settings.

9. Now using your favorite REG EDITOR go to:

HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\Arcsoft MMS UA\Config\MM1\MMSCSetting\WspHeader

X-Cricket-MDN this is your 10 digit cell number Value like 999-999-9999 <--- please put in your own phone number no dashes.(you will see X-Verizon please delete it. leave blank the X-Sprint)

10. click the X on the top right corner to get out of the registry editor.

11. soft reset

This should work since I got mine working like this.
