Still no dice. Can I just get a cooked ROM with 3.5 installed? Or do I need 3.5 to install a new ROM?

I got this off of XDA-developers, sound legit?

Run a back up of your device and give it a shot. worst that can happen is you restore to your current state. I still believe you can do what first posted to your question. Did you happen to read that tread i linked a couple posts up? Back up and take a chance

I just updated build of windows from 19xxx to 21028 and its stock rom with only net 3.5 , so I not sure if you need both or not.

I have tried everything suggested on both XDA-developers and here. And no matter what I do, I get the same message. The whole reason I am doing this is to install a cooked ROM anyways. So if I can just install one now and be done with it, I'll be happy. But this thread made it sound like I needed 3.5 before http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503

If you are going to cook a rom it is usually cooked in.
