Re: Sprint Touch Pro Data Speeds?!
I've seen folks post those speeds too, but here in the Bay Area, and also on the East Coast around the Metro DC/Baltimore area I have personally never seen such speeds on my mogul.
It's possible Sprint has (er, had) some areas with these speeds and has dialed them down since? According to the docs on EVDO-a the speeds should be 13 1536 2 5120 5/12 16-QAM 14 3072 1 5120 5/6 16-QAM (1.5 or 3.0 Mbit/sec) PEAK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evoluti...TIA-856_Rev._A Note that is "Peak" - sustained rates for EVDO-a are no more then 1.7mbit/.8mbit unless you are the only EVDO-a data user on a tower. So, I think what you're actually seeing is more EVDO users on your tower. Or Sprint is using the DRC 13 index, not the 14 one. I wonder if that setting can be changed. |

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Data Speeds?!
Just got the TP last week - I have a fairly good signal but today I just got 850kbps. I typically averaged about ~200kbps on my Moto Q9c. Loving the speed!

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Data Speeds?!
I'm getting about 500kbps and I have 1 to no bars in my house. I will check it next time I head towards my stronger area right down the road.
