Re: Sprint TelNAV

I switched to the non-Sprint TeleNav.
Graphics are MUCH sharper, GPS refresh rate is quicker - so location is more accurate, and the battery is running at a lower temp - thus keeps charging.
These benefits are worth more to me than the "Drive to: from the contacts list.

I've read the entire thread and realize you're not alone in your sentiment. Me? I would like to have my cake and eat it too, or I'll test drive another ROM (or...gasp...back to stock). We've all got our individual desires, but I have a lot of contacts and I just can't remember each and every route from a myriad of different starting locations. Drive to is something I want.

You must not be very familiar with it, because google maps does show the route and turn by turn directions.

No Google cannot speak. Google is a very smart mute . But I hear ya, if a navigation program can't speak I don't want it in my car .

I didn't have any temp program installed when using Sprint Navigation, but hearing Telenav runs cooler for someone is good. I know for me, Telenav does eventually get hot and Sprint Navigation got hot too, but maybe Telenav takes longer to get hot. My car holder seems to contribute to the heat.

Re: Sprint TelNAV

I flashed to mightyROM 4.16 so I installed 2.1 Sprint nav. Obviously I new about the lag. Then I installed telenav and did not realize how to start with my pin, so I deleted it off the phone. Now that I can acess the site with my pin and all....

I deleted the sprint nav to install Telenav once again but the icons for both original navs are sitting on my programs. How can I remove everything from the phone. Already removed from start/programs/fileexpe/program files . And settings/systems/removed programs. Please help....

Re: Sprint TelNAV

are the icons suppose to look so small, which phone version do we need for the touch pro. Because although resolution is great, the icon functions are super small . I did the OTA download. Is the cab the way to go with a touch pro

I too would love to have the drive to from my contacts, but having a more accurate GPS is more benificial. I would like to have both worlds if possible.

We all would, but I guess for now we each have to try them out and use which ever works best for us individually . Maybe the next release of one app or the other will have the best of all desired features.

i never said it has voice, and yes it will show you a map directing you where to turn. The list you are refering to comes up when you first ask it for direction. If you look in the bottom left corner it says "Show Map". Click on that.
