The audiobooster isnt meant to be used this way which is why you need to hack the registry to use it like that.

crazychef says his advance config hack sticks after a reset. you could try that. Download something called advance config 3.3 and look for it in the list of hacks. Should be under the audio option.

and so were clear, when I applied the hack it went away after a soft reset, so my suggestion of actually editing the ring tone so it doesn't distort might be your best option.

Yeah I have seen the option in Advance Config but never bothered to use it, since I want like all my sounds like streaming media and such to have a little more bass when I play them not just ringtones.
