Re: Equalizer?

i don't know about an eq tweak but what headset are you using? you might want to get a different pair if they crackle.

Re: Equalizer?

This is audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

It's a free audio editing program. Open your ringtone with it (on your pc) and run it through an EQ.

Re: Equalizer?

u can also use dia hack or advanced config(forget which) to make it so u can use it without headphones as wel

If you actually read the thread and not just the subject, you'd find his issue is that his ringtone is clipping when the sound is all the way up. He can't exactly have headphones plugged in every where he goes (audio booster only works with headphones plugged in.) The hack you mentioned resets after a restart.

He simply needs to run the ringtone through a program like audacity and lower the bass in it.

ill soft reset 50times str8 and itll stick.. and if u meant hard reset, well of course every hack goes away, thats the point of restoring things..

and he asked for an EQ, not for a program to permantly adjust 1 tone at a time... so excuse me for misreading things..

Re: Equalizer?

I used audacity and applied a high pass filter (play around with the Hz level, could be anywhere from 100-400Hz, it depends on your specific song) on my ringtones so they don't sound distorted when my phone rings. This does the opposite of what you want as it decreases the bass, but the output is much more clean with the filter in place because the speakers on our phones aren't meant for full frequency reproduction of sounds. This is the supposed preferred method of creating cell-phone friendly ringtones.

If your ringtone has high frequency range, you can compress it down so that you don't lose the lowend frequencies. If your ringtone relies espeically on low end frequencies, apply the filter and amplify the ringtone or normalize it to like -3dB.

Re: Equalizer?

I will try to make myself more clear

The builtin equilizer only works when an headset is plugged in, I was wondering if it was possible to get that to work using the speakers
