Renaming .CAB files & How do you organize your CABs?

well looking through my CABS folder on my storage card, im just wondering can you rename the CABs or would it mess up the install or something? because a lot of my cabs have jibberish names haha. and how does everyone organize there cabs, im looking to organize my storage card lol

renaming cab files, shouldn't hurt anything. but renaming .dll or other files like that could have unwanted results. i rename cab files all the time for organizational purposes. to be on the safe side, on ur sd card, not ur fone, create a folder with all the apps that u use faithfully, rename those cabs or the ones u copied from. that way, if it does afffect anything, which i dont think it will, u can go back to the original name without trying to remember what they were. HTH

being lazy I still have old cabs from my mogul all in one giant cab folder lol

lol..same here, i have a folder on my sd card, with mad cabs and pc installed stuff...now that i think about it, i mite create a new folder, with just 800w stuff, put some organization in my life..lmao

haha thats how it is for me from my old touch(: but today is a cold rainy day so ive been flashing and thought about organizing my cabs (:
