renaming cab files, shouldn't hurt anything. but renaming .dll or other files like that could have unwanted results. i rename cab files all the time for organizational purposes. to be on the safe side, on ur sd card, not ur fone, create a folder with all the apps that u use faithfully, rename those cabs or the ones u copied from. that way, if it does afffect anything, which i dont think it will, u can go back to the original name without trying to remember what they were.
