WOW! You guys are amazing. I have never seen forum members come together so well. It could be that tough times make better people, but this is just incredible. This is a true attestation to the power of PPCGeeks. Kudos!

Sorry I can't contribute on the giving nor requesting, but If I stop by a sprint store, I will see if they have any extra parts lying around!

well since i requested a screen protector ( still no word on it lol)
I have an extra video out attachment thingy id be willing to part with if anyone has the need... I would rather shave my nuts than use it since its a huge dangley bastard ... and my headphones ( studio beefy sony mf'ers) drain my battery faster than oprah can finish a biscuit anyway

Honestly, I'd like to ask myself if any kind soul would help a lurker out.

See, for a long time I've been hoping to be able to get a Touch Pro. I was promised almost a year ago I'd be getting one for my birthday, which never happened. I've also been ripped off in the past when someone bought a device off of me and never paid me, eventually trading the phone off down the line that I never saw my old Samsung again and them leaving town.

I've never been able to afford much of anything let alone a near-$500 smartphone, and my Nokia's been on edge with constant low-battery warnings despite fully charged batteries (and spares). To add to that my laptop recently died, HP refused to repair it (out of warranty by a month and a half), and all I'm hanging on is a Pentium III right about now.

All I ask is if some kind soul would have a spare smartphone, GSM preferred, that they could donate to a student.

Hey... hi there. Theres alot of nice ppl in this site and I wish you all the best. At our current fanacial state with our country, some of us are in terrible debt or just plain broke. I always wanted a Pro and luckily bought one when I had extra money. Now.. a nice guy from here gave me one and now I will pay some bills once I sell it on ebay. But one pro is not enough. I have cable bills, cell bills, casino debt, car payment and I owe some ppl money. If I had a ton of money I would share witrh you all in this site. But I dont. But currently pan handeling is a issue for me now. People are broke now a days and they give less. The other day i stood out for 14 hours and I only got a measly 24 dollars and 3 cents. Thats for 14 hours of doing nothing but pan handle. SO... if there is anyone in here with a extra Pro who is generous and does not need it, can you please help a fellow geek? And please ship it asap and include shipping insurrance. Thnank you very much and who ever helps me... I will never forget your name. Sincerely Exil3d.

I know you've probably heard this a hundred times...but listen.
You said you panhandled for 14 hours, and only made $24.
Even working at minimum wage ($8 in california), you could have made $112.
On top of that, there are other costs associated with owning such an advanced smartphone. (data plans/accessories/insurance etc.)
In your situation, can you really afford to own this phone? It seems like you made a series of unfortunate decisions, and well, there will be sacrifices to get yourself out of that situation. How many panhandlers own a $600 enterprise smartphone? At least in my neck of the woods, none. I know it sucks, but I'm sure there are better priorities for you. Save some money in the bank for later. I'm sure at some point, if not already, there will be women, kids, cars, other things to do where the money would be much better spent.
If I read your post right, it seems you bought yourself a TP, then you were given a second TP from ppcgeeks. Then, it appears that you are planning to sell off a device given to you. This is fundamentally and morally wrong.

If exhiled was being honest then I would 100% agree with your post. However I beleive the series of posts made by Exhiled are a "dry" attempt at humor and or making fun of this thread ,IMO..........
