Honestly, I'd like to ask myself if any kind soul would help a lurker out.

See, for a long time I've been hoping to be able to get a Touch Pro. I was promised almost a year ago I'd be getting one for my birthday, which never happened. I've also been ripped off in the past when someone bought a device off of me and never paid me, eventually trading the phone off down the line that I never saw my old Samsung again and them leaving town.

I've never been able to afford much of anything let alone a near-$500 smartphone, and my Nokia's been on edge with constant low-battery warnings despite fully charged batteries (and spares). To add to that my laptop recently died, HP refused to repair it (out of warranty by a month and a half), and all I'm hanging on is a Pentium III right about now.

All I ask is if some kind soul would have a spare smartphone, GSM preferred, that they could donate to a student.
