My touch pro will stop charging randomly while plugged in.

As the topic states, I'll be for example running Kinoma, Sprint radio, etc using the HTC headphone adapter.

Also have it plugged in to a power source. (Have tried USB and wall power)

A few minutes go by (10~) and it will suddenly stop charging and just drain the battery like crazy.

I can try re-plugging in the power cord, no charge indicator.

I tried taking off the headphone adapter and straight power adapter, no charge.

I have to soft-reset the thing for me to even be able to get it to charge again.

Any ideas??

No custom roms, just basic softwares installed:

PDBackup, Diamond Tweak, Advanced Config, Kinoma

It's funny you mention this. Just yesterday I was noticing the same thing. I had my phone in the car with the headphone adaptor plugged into my stereo and using usb power. I was helping a friend move so I had my windows down and I was streaming music from lastfm. When I went into my car to answer a call I noticed my battery was nearly dead and my pro wasnt charging any longer. I thought it might have something to do with the temperature sensor in the touch pro. I believe when it reaches a certain degree threshold it ceases to charge until it cools down. My mogul had the same feature, but I remember the threshold being higher than it is on the Pro. I am running the latest Mighty Rom so it obviously isnt secluded to stock roms. I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust this setting. Anyone care to chime in??

That's what I thought at first. Just wait until you realize it was a design error, and imagine how upset you will be. Get used to keeping the keyboard expanded to dissipate heat, and use nueFastCharge (nueBattery) to keep the charging rate between 800mah-900mah to compensate for the discharge.

I was on a trip to Gatlinburg & using the Telenav to get me where I needed to go & this happened to me. What good is all this technology if it can't be used? Unlimited talk & data & navigation is worth spit if the battery won't last long enough to use it. Don't get me wrong: I really like this phone, but these bugs are aggravating.

+1 on the heat issues. Streaming while charging will do it almost everytime. Best bet is to slide open the keyboard or remove your battery cover. That stops it from happening to me.

Even with the Telus 1.04.05v radio firmware, mine will occassionally do this as well. I have found that when it's sitting battery cover side down it does it more than if standing up in a cradle or face down.

It's all about getting airflow to the battery. The cover is so snug that it doesn't allow any cool air in, and when you slide keyboard out, there's many slits that allow it to cool. When I do these 2 things, my phone will only get luke warm now.
